Last Friday I returned from work to be presented with an iPad as an early birthday present.

This proved two things to me:

• I married someone amazing.
• Life can be very cool.

Anyway, the iPad is a very nice tool and I think that OS4 will make it incredible.

However, there is something about the iPad. You use it in public; I use it on the train or the office and the reactions are worth noting.

Almost everyone is jealous but this is expressed as a series of comments or actions that I find funny. They’re worth documenting. So here starts a new series “I’m not jealous of the iPad ‘cos…”

iPad again, sorry.

First impressions are all about speed. Having a machine that starts instantly and is constantly connected makes a fanastic difference.

I’m massively more productive. Within a couple of years all senior managers will leaving their PCs at home for one of these!
