Fonera 2.0n Quality Survey

Well it had less effect than I hoped…

Fonera 2.0n Quality Survey.

The survey shows that the Fon has a 65% failure rate. Almost 2/3 of the kit they shipped was broken. This is an amazing result.

The CEO’s response is to defend theĀ indefensible.

Martin, if you were not going to respond to the survey; why set it up?

And that’s it?

I’m amazed how short the list is…

It’s also mostly in the past. Most of the landings were 30+ years ago.

Electronics Hacker Jeri Ellsworth

I can’t work out if this is the CV of a Bond villan or something cooler.

Seriously, they need to make a TV movie of this woman.

“I live in an actual electronics factory and let me tell you, what Jeri made was really, really incredible. She reverse engineered and designed the entire Commodore 64 audio and video system on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and then managed to get it made cheap enough so it could be sold on QVC. A FPGA allows you to design circuits after a chip was made—”an integrated circuit designed to be configured by the customer or designer after manufacturing.” She went from prototype to a top-selling product, 70k in one day!”

UK Election starts…

You’re joking right?

“Ms Pratt, chief executive of the National Bullying Helpline, said that was sending out “the wrong message” to other chief executives or bosses who are accused of bullying: “Outright denial is just non-credible in today’s age”.

She told the BBC: “Over recent months we have had several inquiries from staff within Gordon Brown’s office.”

BBC on Vancouver 2010…

You’re joking right…

“The list of complaints is quite a long one: The problems with the lighting of the Olympic flame at the opening ceremony, the criticism that members of the public were only able to see the cauldron through a fence, the weather, the cancellation of 28,000 tickets to events on Cypress Mountain, the breakdown of the ice-surfacing machine at the speed skating venue.”

Two years before the London games and the BBC decides it’s the moment to start being critical!
