Arrington has been at LeWeb for the last few years.
Usually he’s a pain the rear end trying to create a news story and being stupidly critical.
This year he seems to have grown up. He’s just managed to chair an interesting discussion without looking for a fight.
At last, the triumph of facts over form.
Just realized that Hugh isn’t here! Looking at the Twitter feed doesn’t look like he will be either.

I was all ready to get out my credit card and give Google some money. This might be the first time!

- Valid only in US and Canada, only for users buying paid storage for the first time.
Looking down the list of sponsors it’s interesting who is missing. IBM, Apple, Amazon are not here and I can understand why they’ve stayed away. There is no system integrator on the list which is amazing considering we’re in the home of Cap and Atos.
However, the odd one out is Apple; although they’re not here, they’re already the most prominent company! First interview was a demo for an Apple app!!!
It’s really very, very hot here.

For the record this is my 5th year and I’m still not sure why.
Agenda’s changed compared to previous years, far more tech and less politics and the other stuff. Not convinced but let’s see.
