And yet it made a massive difference to my memories of the whole occasion. Part of the fun was that the panelists on the Gilmor Gang were obviously demob happy. A couple of glass of wine and they were off to the races.

Finishing the conference with the live recording of two podcasts – Wine Library TV and the Gillmor Gang – gave a huge lift to the final hours.”

Finished the new Malcolm Gladwell book yesterday.
Outliers: The Story of Success: Malcolm Gladwell: Amazon.fr
The story of 10,000 hours practice and the luck required to suceed has been well trailed. Gladwell has talked about the subject multiple times.
However, it’s still worth the read; because of the other subjects. He makes a very real case for serious reform of schools, and for raising children in a very different way. I wonder if that will have an effect on governments; I fear not!
I have to learn to introduce myself to people as being Franco-British or Anglo-French. Far from natural at the moment.
