Apple’s CEO will leave the company…

Farhad Manjoo is beginning to get on my nerves. I’m assuming that this was written as link bait.

Steve Jobs’ medical leave: Apple’s CEO will leave the company—even if he’s healthy. – By Farhad Manjoo – Slate Magazine.

This is almost farcical…

“Since returning to Apple in 1996, Jobs has pushed the company to achieve one of his long-held goals—to turn computers into mainstream appliances as ubiquitous and easy-to-use as televisions, toasters, and food processors. He has been stunningly successful in achieving that vision. And now he’s probably done.”

That’s right. Jobs has no more product ideas and is really interested in proving an intellectual point before retirement.

Slate used to be better than this. I now listen to the podcasts more than read the paper. Articles like this are why.

The comments…

More and more I find myself reading the comments more closely than the article…
